Access to Kyoto Station from Kansai International Airport (KIX)
1) Train
JR Airport Express "Haruka"
Time : About 75 min.
Fare to Kyoto station : 3,570 JPY (Reserved Seat), 2,850 JPY (Non-Reserved Seat)
(Surcharge or discount may be applied on some designated days)
Exit the airport from exit D or E on the second floor and cross the concourse to reach the JR Kansai Airport station. You can buy a ticket at the vending machine nearby the ticket gate of JR Kansai Airport station. (Please be careful not to buy a ticket for NANKAI railway.)

2) Bus
Kansai Airport Limousine
Time : About 90 min.
Fare to Kyoto station : 2,550 JPY
The bus terminates at the JR Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit and departs from Platform #8, on the first floor of the airport terminal building. You can buy a ticket at the vending machines nearby the bus stop.

Access to Kyoto University from Kyoto Station
1) Bus
City Bus No. 206 (Bound for Kitaoji Bus Terminal via Higashiyama Street)
Time : About 30 - 40 min.
Fare to Kyoto University : 230 JPY
Go to the bus terminal located in front of the Karasuma central exit (north side) on the main floor of JR Kyoto station. Go to D2 section, located front right from the central exit. Take city bus No. 206 bound for Kitaoji Bus Terminal via Higashiyama st. and get off at "Kyodai Seimon-mae" (京大正門前)
Please note that No. 206 bus runs in a loop in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. Take the anti-clockwise bus (Bound for Kitaoji Bus Terminal via Higashiyama Street) at Kyoto Station. If you return to Kyoto Station from Kyoto Univerity, take the clockwise bus (Bound for Kyoto Sta. via Kiyomizu-dera Temple).

Taxi stand is located on the east side of the station (taking right from the Karasuma central exit). Tell the driver "Kyodai Seimon".
